This parameter specifies the default database type to use in
<tt>postalias(1)</tt> and <tt>postmap(1)</tt> commands. On many UNIX systems
the default type is either <tt>`dbm'</tt> or <tt>`hash'</tt>. The default is
determined when the Postfix system is built.
